As a result of 8 years of painstaking trials and software testing SDE have purchased "Avance" a transport solution by Talcasoft, a new generation in courier software.

Avance and associated products allow us to receive your job via our online booking portal or phone, allocate your consignment to the closest vehicle and monitor progress through "real time" capture of information acquired in the field on Symbol MC70 handheld PDA's. Customers have complete access to the data generated by the real time system by accessing information through the web booking portal, including Consignment Status, Proof of Delivery Signature Capture, Consignment Booking, Quotations, Track and Trace and Invoice Archiving to name a few of the features.

 

 

Our Web Booking Module is available to all account holders.  The user friendly module allows customers to book consignments online.  Some added advantages of this system include, online progress reports, Proof of Delivery times and signatures and detailed transaction history reports.

Despatch Control Centre

Once your job is booked it appears on our allocation screen, where it can be assessed by our experienced despatch personnel and allocated to the nearest vehicle capable of performing your consignment in the allotted time. Drivers progress is constantly monitored to ensure your consignment arrives on time, every time.

As part of our customer satisfaction program, we are able to run efficiency reports on all aspects of the delivery process. Bottlenecks can be rapidly identified to ensure faster service times for all customers. 

Handheld PDA Devices

Our fleet is controlled via handheld PDA data devices, allowing our customers real time progress reports on consignment status and 'Proof of Delivery' documentation.

WAITING TIME

Our Express Services (OM, STD, VIP and SX) include a maximum 10 minutes loading /unloading time. Extra time is charged up to 80 cents per minute thereafter. Economy Services (eg. E31 and E401) include no waiting time. It is suggested customers ensure their consignment is ready at reception or despatch and that arrangements are made at the destination to collect/unload all goods. Before extra time is incurred we will endeavour to contact customers to inform them of extra charges.
